Portpatrick

We enjoyed returning last autumn to this lovely south-westerly village in Dumfries and Galloway. It's a beautiful place to walk, especially along the cliff paths, and we have had hot sunny weather each time we've been there.

There's more information on Wikipedia about Portpatrick here - and a great website about the town and surrounding area here

Below: three photos from our previous visit to Portpatrick in 2003 with our friend, Ian, after lunch in nearby Stranraer

Unfortunately, Geoffrey injured the instep of his foot on a sharp rock that day whilst walking down a steep cliff path, and it has never been right since.

Ian enjoying the sunshine after we waded in the sea!
